By the very nature of our business we interact with the environment every day. We don't take this responsibility lightly. In fact at the heart of everything we do is an acute awareness of the need to extract minerals essential to every day life without threatening our natural surroundings or the interests of future generations.
As a company we are committed to complying with and wherever possible, exceeding all environmental legal requirements, regulations and standards (see a copy of our Environment Policy).
At the start of 2003 WBB MINERALS UK officially launched its Energy Saving Campaign with the objective of reducing CO2 emissions by 2,500 tonnes before the end of the year. We achieved this goal within 12 months and in doing so became the first company in the quarrying sector to gain Energy Efficiency Accreditation from the National Energy Foundation.
